The Cal State Northridge women’s tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision Sunday afternoon at the Matador Tennis Complex to the Rice Owls. Freshman Brooke Doane won her No. 5 singles match, 6-2, 7-5, over Emily Braid to complete a perfect weekend both in singles and doubles play.

The Cal State Northridge women’s tennis team lost 5-2 Saturday afternoon at the Matador Tennis Complex to Furman University. Sophomore Kristy Fournell and freshman Brooke Doane recorded the Matadors’ two points in their first loss of the season.

No. 67 Northridge Makes it Five Straight with Win over UC Davis, 4-2 |

The No. 67 Cal State Northridge women’s tennis team ran its record to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the Big West Conference with a 4-2 victory over UC Davis in a Big West Conference match. Senior Kanykey Koichumanova scored the deciding point for the Matadors, winning the No. 2 singles match, 2-6, 6-2 and 6-2, over the Aggies’ Robin Guier.
